Family & Matrimonial

The family department at Grange Wintringham offers private clients confidential, appropriate and practical advice and representation on all family matters including divorce, financial issues, separation after cohabitation and the breakdown of civil partnerships. We appreciate that our clients are often in huge distress when they first come to see us. Accordingly, we seek to provide a supportive and sympathetic service. We recognise how important it is for clients to feel that they remain in control of these important events in their lives, whilst being provided with clear and balanced advice. We are always very sensitive as to the effect of a relationship breakdown on children.

Grange Wintringham believes that a conciliatory approach often provides the best outcome. We will always seek to negotiate and, where appropriate, mediation is always a considered option. Even when formal court proceedings are issued, we continue to seek a negotiated outcome if possible.

Grange Wintringham will always provide realistic estimates as to costs and it is the practice of the department to issue interim invoices or costs updates so that clients are kept fully aware of how much they are spending. Financial updates can be requested at any time. We recognise that on occasions the bill cannot be paid in full until the end of the matter. Wherever appropriate we provide the facility to pay the legal costs by instalments, which, if maintained during the currency of a matter, can continue for an appropriate period following the resolution of the dispute.
